Kazakhstan government resigns after violent protests over rising fuel prices
Protests this week in Kazakhstan over rising fuel costs have morphed into a nationwide state of emergency, with government buildings set on fire in the largest city of Almaty.
Amid the unrest, the country's entire government has also quit. The president has since reduced fuel prices and removed his long-time predecessor and former dictator from an important national security role.
